A Black Man, A Blonde, and A Jew Walk Into A Bar

From the title a few of you probably started shaking your heads. Some may have gasped. Others might be asking why would that be. Well like our societies handicaps that we have invented we have gotten closed off to what others believe or think. For instance these blog posts I keep doing some may not agree with. That’s ok, it’s your right to have your own opinion. What I am talking about is a word I have come to despise “OFFENDED”. Everything seems to offend someone all the time. You can’t tell your friend a joke because someone nearby might take offense. Here is a solution, don’t eavesdrop. Why are we so quick to take offense to every little thing our senses picks up. Stop worrying about what that guys shirt says or how tight her shirt is. As the saying goes “Worry bout yourself”. Don’t we have bigger problems in the world to worry about. Don’t you have bigger things in your life you should be worried about. Why do people waist time worrying about someone saying this or standing for that. In case you haven’t noticed, we still kids starving and living homeless. We still have people dying everyday of diseases. We have marriages that can’t stay together for more than a week. Think about where your focus is. I apologize for the rant in this one.

Freedom of Speech

Have you ever wondered why people want to take away your freedom of speech? They know that with words you can have power over them. Think about it, your words have power. Think about this for a moment, God spoke everything into existence. Jesus calm the storm by telling it to be still. If that doesn’t display word power I don’t know what does. I firmly believe that you can speak life into your situations. I think that if you tell your self that you are going to get that job from the beginning; you will place your self in the right state of mind to really stand out and get the job. Words are not meaningless things to be taken lightly they carry authority. Things really do happen when you speak. Just think about it.

Speaking of Witch

When you hear the term “curse” your first thought probably is that of a witch. However, if you think about it every time you say something negative or put someone down you are actually cursing them. We as a society have somewhere gotten that it is normal to call each other names and “talk smack” on a consistent basis. My old flight chief use to say “If I’m picking on you it’s because I care”; and it generally showed that way. Now I’m not saying we can’t joke around with one another. I believe we should be able to joke about differences and not be so uptight. What I am saying is why are we not blessing people more. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all went around complementing each other. Uplift people every chance you get. Encourage those around you. Bless your self by telling your self positive things. Don’t be so hard on others but especially don’t be so hard on yourself. Let yourself know that you CAN DO IT, not that you aren’t sure if you are able. Next interaction you have with someone just think about whether you are cursing or blessing them.

Handicapped or Handicapable

Is it just me or is there a coincidence between slow drivers and handicapped drivers. Every time I get behind someone who’s driving poorly, primarily slow, they have a handicap license plate. That got me to thinking. Would the person driving use this as an excuse for how poor they drive. I think many people would say yes.

That brings me to my next thought. The world is handicapped. Everyone has an excuse for everything. This includes parents and grandparents for their children and grandchildren’s misbehaviors. I hear all time that this child or that child is tired or hungry. When in all actuality they are just simply misbehaving. Adults do the same for their own misbehavior.

But on a lighter note, I give big props to those who don’t settle with excuses. I have seen plenty of videos of people more than worthy of the handicap title that refuse to be excused for an inability to live like everyone else. I’ve seen one leg people win marathons. I’ve witnessed one armed people bench press more than some bodybuilders. They are the small percent that choose not to be handicapped but become handicapable.

I am Hlegionaire asking you to Just Think About It.
